4022 CB&Q XML-16 10ft Plug Door Box Car

This Craftsman kit will build a model of a CB&Q XML-16, 50’ 8” Interior Length, Plate B Box Car with a 10ft Plug Door. Built by Berwick Foundry and Forge in1969 with Hydraulic Cushioning and a capacity of 5118 or 4984 Cu Ft depending on the load dividers.
Originally delivered in1969 for CB&Q in Cascade Green numbered 20695-20899, 20900-20949, & 20950-20999, and after the BN Merger were numbered 316900-317104, 317105-317154, & 317155-317204. An additional group of cars were built by Berwick in 1970 as BN 319500-319699. These have a longer notch side sill (see instructions for Modifications).
